STRYPER Pay Tribute To Persian Gulf War Heroes In 'Believe'
March 24, 2003Back in 1991, during the Persian Gulf War, STRYPER vocalist Michael Sweet wrote the song "Believe", which gave his feelings voice about the events unfolding in the Middle East. Stated Michael: "It's not just about what was going on in Kuwait and Iraq, though that was how the song started. It's about all the men and women who have gone out on our behalf and paid the price to keep us free. You have to respect that. I just wanted to write a song that would make it known that we care, that their sacrifice wasn't going unnoticed or unappreciated."
Now, 12 years later, events are unfolding once again that are resulting in our men and women having to pay that ultimate price. Therefore, in an effort to support our troops and show the world that their sacrifice isn't going unnoticed or is unappreciated, Michael has decided to make the song "Believe" available for download in its entirety at this location.
